Tomorrow, Friday, June 3, is National Doughnut Day. According to the Krispy Kreme Twitter page, they are offering one (1) FREE Doughnut at participating U.S. Krispy Kreme retail shops. 
Before making a special trip, I would call your local Krispy Kreme to verify they are participating.
